Description

Barnglieshead Steading is a large U-plan steading built in the earlier 19th century, arranged around a courtyard. It is constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings and has roofs covered with graded slates. The tall middle range features lofts below the eaves, with a 2-bay cartshed on the left and a 3-bay stable on the right. The single-storey flanking ranges each have a series of doors and slated plain roof ventilators.
