Description
5-7 High Street in Stranraer is a 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan gabled house built in 1726. The exterior is finished with painted harl and features a base course, painted margins, and projecting cills.
The northern entrance elevation is gabled, with a central doorway that has a timber and glass door. Large shop windows are located on either side of the entrance, while the first floor has regular fenestration. The shop glazing on the ground floor is found on the outer left, while the outer right has timber boarding and small-pane glazing. The first floor is fitted with 4-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a coped gablehead stack.
The interior was not seen in 1997.
