Description

William Burn architect. Built circa 1833. 2 storey 3-bay

farmhouse steading to rear with crow-stepped gables to road

suggests flanking wings. House: stugged pink ashlar, polished

dressings; west elevation: basket-arched wide doorway (deeply

recessed door) in slightly advanced and gabled inner bay;

canted ground floor windows in outer bays, upper windows with

gabled dormer heads. Saw-toothed skews; end stacks with

projecting breasts; roofed with graded slates. Rear wing

raised in red ashlar.

Steading: rectangular-plan low range to north and to south

both rubble-built, west gables built of ashlar: altered

openings: central barn now demolished: remainder of steading

not included in listing.
