Description

Kello Bridge is an early to mid-19th century road bridge featuring a modern fenced pedestrian way. It has a single segmental arch that rises high over Kello Water. The bridge is constructed of grey ashlar stone, with a bullfaced finish below the level of the springers. There is a moulding over the arch rings, and the roadway slopes downwards from west to east, possibly indicating it was originally ramped towards the center. A band course runs below the coped parapet, which is widened at the approaches and continues as low walls at the west end.
