Description
Kelloside is a large, two-storey farmhouse, likely dating to around 1870 or 1876, although it probably incorporates an earlier house. The building is in an L-shaped plan with a low wing at the rear. It is constructed from stugged and snecked ashlar. The windows have hood moulds and lying-panes, with stop-chamfered reveals, and the first-floor dormers are gabled. The west elevation has a bipartite window on the ground floor and a single window on the first floor in the outer bays. A gabled bay is boldly advanced to the left. A square, steeply gabled, narrow bay of full height sits in the re-entrant angle, featuring single windows and a round-headed door facing south. The roof features sawtooth skews with shaped skewputts, corniced stacks over the north and south gables, and finials on the other gables. It is roofed with graded slates. The steading is not included in the listing.
