Description
19 Agnew Crescent in Wigtown is an early 19th-century house that combines a low two-storey structure with a single-storey cottage. The exterior features painted render with ashlar margins, while the gable of the house is made of painted rubble, visible above the cottage.
The house has two bays, with two windows on the ground floor and one enlarged bipartite window on the first floor. The cottage has four bays, with a door located to the right of the centre, flanked by windows, and an additional window in the outer left bay. There is also a further window on the left return elevation, positioned by the re-entrant angle formed with the neighbouring property, No 21. The front features sash and case windows. The two-storey bays are covered with purple slates, while the cottage has graduated grey slates. The house has a gable end stack, and there are sandstone ridges and skews. There have been regrettable alterations to the rear of the property.
