Description
Dinwoodie Green is a mid to late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay former inn that has been converted into a farmhouse. It features a long, two-storey rear wing on the north side. The building is constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings and is painted with contrasting margins.
On the south elevation, there is an unfortunate gabled central porch and sash windows with four-pane glazing. A sun insurance plate is located to the right of the central first-floor window. The building has straight skews, end stacks, and a roof covered with graded slates.
The rear wing extends from the west end of the house and has been altered; it serves both domestic and agricultural purposes and features two different roof pitches. There is a modern porch situated in the re-entrant angle of the wing.
Opposite the building, there is a milestone, and the main steading ranges are located to the east side of the by-passed road.
