Description
7 Assembly Street in Dumfries is an earlier 19th century late Georgian corner tenement. It stands three storeys high over a railed basement, featuring five bays on Irish Street (with the left bay being broader) and three bays on Assembly Street. The building is constructed of droved red ashlar, with band courses that divide the floors. It has recessed panelled doors with pilastered jambs and decorative fanlights; there are two doors located in the second and fourth bays on Irish Street, a central door on Assembly Street, and bipartite windows in the right bay. The property has plate glass sash windows throughout, and the original stack has been removed. The roof is piended and covered with slate.
