Description
East Bowhouse Cottage, dated 1837, consists of two adjoining single-storey, two-bay cottages arranged in a T-plan. The cottages are built in a Tudor style using rubble with contrasting red ashlar dressings and hood-moulded openings. There is an additional bay to the west with a brick gable. The cottage on the east features mullioned windows and retains a latticed glazing pattern. A porch is attached to the south gable, while the north elevation has three bays with an advanced gable on the left. The cottage to the west includes lying-pane glazing on the French windows, along with a main door and crest. The cottages have axial stacks with octagonal flues, shaped skews, and are roofed with graded slates. There are also additions to the rear.
