Description
The British Linen Bank, located at 1-3 Mar Street in Alloa, was designed by J M Dick Peddie and George Washington Browne in 1906. This Jacobean-style building is two stories tall with an attic, constructed from red ashlar stone. The main facade faces Mill Street and features Ionic columns on the first floor, a balustrade, and a two-window shaped gable above. The building also has two gables facing Mar Street and is noted for its finely detailed design throughout.
