Description
The Bank of Scotland, located at 17, 19, and 21 High Street in Alloa, was designed by J M Dick Peddie in 1909 and reflects the English Renaissance style of the early 18th century. This two-storey building features a seven-window façade made of ashlar stone, with a channelled ground floor that includes a shop on the right side. The central section has paired doorways flanked by fluted Corinthian pilasters, and the ends of the building also feature these pilasters. A prominent sculptured central pediment displays the bank's arms. The building underwent alterations between 1971 and 1972.
