Description

Burnside House, located at 24 West Burnside in Dollar, is a two-storey, three-bay villa built around 1825. It was originally constructed as a residence for staff of Dollar Academy. The building features whin rubble with contrasting tooled margins and ashlar dressings. The central entrance has a door topped by a shallow block pediment supported by simplified consoles. The windows are predominantly timber sash and case, with 12-pane glazing. The roof is piended and covered with slate, and there are coped chimneystacks on the end walls with clay cans.
