Description
Stockbridge Primary School, located on Hamilton Place in Edinburgh, was designed by Sir R Rowand Anderson and built between 1876 and 1878. This two-storey building features early pointed architectural style and is constructed from snecked rubble. The front of the school is U-shaped and includes twin giant arches in the gables, with an asymmetrical design that features a sculptured roundel at the chimney gable. The school is very distinctively detailed and is accompanied by a small matching janitor's house.
