Description

Robert Reid and William Sibbald, early 19th century. 3-storey, attic and basement, 2-bay terraced tenement. Broached ashlar sandstone; V-jointed rustication at principal floor. Band course between basement and principal floor, principal and 1st floor; cill courses at 1st and 2nd floors; dentilled cornice and blocking course at 2nd floor. Ashlar steps and entrance platt oversailing basement.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: round-arched doorpiece to left, with Ionic columns supporting entablature, with foliated necking and fluted frieze; 4-panel timber door, plate glass semicircular fanlight. Tripartite windows to right at all floors, windows to left at 1st and 2nd floors.

N ELEVATION: adjoining terrace, see separate listing (13 and 15 Dublin Street).

S ELEVATION: adjoining terrace, see separate listing (2-4A York Place).

Predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate M-roof; slate hung rectangular dormer.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1997.

RAILINGS: ashlar copes surmounted by cast-iron railings and urn finials.
