Description

13 Grange Road is a double villa built around 1860, featuring two stories and a six-bay rectangular plan that is mirrored about the center. The exterior is made of squared and coursed sandstone, with a stugged ashlar finish on the south (entrance) elevation. It has a base and blocking course, along with a cornice.

On the south elevation, there are doorways located in the second and fifth bays, each adorned with carved consoles supporting cornices above. The entrance features deep-set panelled doors and plate glass fanlights. Above these doorways, there are single windows on the first floor. The central two bays contain tripartite windows on both the ground and first floors, while the outer bays have single windows on each floor.

The east and west elevations include a stair window on the first floor. The villa has six-pane sash and case single windows, with three panes in each light of the tripartite windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a piended design, along with lead flashings. It features a corniced mutual stack and two shouldered wallhead stacks, one of which is also corniced, topped with moulded octagonal cans.

The interiors were not seen in 1990. There is a low boundary wall to the street, which rises to the west.
