Description

Robert Paterson, 1880; later top floor studio arcade John McLaren, 1896. 4-storey, 4-bay classical Renaissance tenement and shop premises. Sandstone ashlar, channelled ashlar at 1st floor. Pilastered timber shop front with round arched fanlight and doorway (to left), corniced fascia. Canted 4-light wide bay at 1st floor, narrow window to left with fielded panel above. Wide Doric fielded pilasters at 2nd floor, original consoled and corniced eaves course surmounted by arcaded 3rd floor, pilasters and keystones; corniced parapet, end dies with urn finials.

Extensive plate glass glazing to shop front, plate glass in timber sash and case at 1st and 2nd floors; round-headed transomed 18-pane glazing to 3rd with hoppers.
