Description

Circa 1840. 2-storey (3-storey at rear), 6-bay, symmetrical rectangular-plan houses. Squared and snecked sandstone rubble with stugged quoins and long and short surrounds. Eaves course and cornice; architraved doorpieces; block cills to 1st floor windows.

N ELEVATION: doorpieces to outer bays at ground; window to each intervening bay; single windows to all bays, upper floor; centred windows at mezzanine level to W elevation; bracketed 2-storey rectangular-plan projecting bay at rear of No 43.

12-pane timber sash and case windows to front elevation. Grey slate piended roof; coped shouldered wallhead stacks with cylindrical cans; cast-iron rainwater goods.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low coped squared and snecked sandstone wall to street.
