Description

James Gillespie Graham, 1820; JR MacKay, 1932. Perpendicular Gothic elevation of former Nicolson Street Church with later rebuilding to rear.

E (NICOLSON STREET) ELEVATION: Tudor Gothic 5-bay elevation to Nicolson Street with pinnacled buttresses and crenellated parapet. Low ashlar-coped wall to street with later metal railings; stone steps to 2-leaf timber-panelled door in hoodmoulded Tudor-arched surround with mask label stops. Lancet windows with Perpendicular tracery. Coursed ashlar.

Body of building rebuilt by JR Mackay after a fire in 1932.
