Description

Robert R and J P Raeburn 1882 Mid Victorian Freestyle,

coursers with polished ashlar dressings, 2-storey and

attic. Three bay front with raised quoins, first floor

and main cornices and first floor cill string course. Central

round arched and keyblocked doorpiece with Corinthianesque

shafts and fanlight set in panelled pilasters and consoles

bearing balustraded apron of window above. Two-storey 3-light

bay to right, pilaster mullions and stilted segmental arches

ground floor, very slim shafts and stilted shouldered lintels

at first; steeply pitched semi-hexagonal roof spire; shallow

rectangular tripartite bay diminishing to bipartite at

first floor to left, same treatment as canted bay but with

fluted first floor apron band and platformed roof. Piended

roof with bell cast, 2 arched dormers centre and left

hand bays. Rear (south) elevation plain 2-storey 3-light

canted bay to left with French window and 2 windows (right

hand ground floor enlarged). One bipartite segmentally

arched dormer. One window gables with twin corniced stacks.

One storey piended wing to east with arched bipartite

to north.
