Description

Circa 1850. 4-storey bowed classical, acute-angled corner block (4th storey as wallhead attic); 2 bays to Bread Street, 4 bays to Spittal Street, 5-bay recessed quadrant block between, with shops and public house to ground floor (modern shop front at Bread Street). Droved ashlar. Base course; broad cornice above 2nd floor; eaves cornice. Regularly fenestrated. Projecting cills to 1st and 2nd floors, recessed aprons to 1st. Timber panelled door with small-pane glazed fanlight to flats at No 5 Spittal Street. Original carved street sign to Spittal Street.

12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Corniced rendered stacks with circular cans.
