Description
The bridge on Tolbooth Wynd in Leith, Edinburgh, was built between 1788 and 1789, with later additions and alterations. It features three segmental arches supported by semi-circular cutwaters and piers. The solid coped parapets extend beyond the arch on a concrete lintel. The original spans are made of coursed stugged cream sandstone with rock-faced voussoirs, while the parapet has been largely replaced with droved stone. The modern central arch includes concrete ribs and stone facing.
