2 Jamaica Street, Edinburgh

2 Jamaica Street is an earlier 19th century mews building that stands two stories tall and features three bays. The principal elevation is painted cement rendered, with a base course, a cornice at the ground level, and another cornice along with a blocking course at the first floor. The first-floor windows have raised margins.

On the north (principal) elevation, there is a modern timber door with two leaves and six panels, accompanied by a five-pane fanlight, located to the right at ground level. The remaining bays at ground level and the bays at the first floor contain windows. Centrally positioned at the first floor is a timber gabled oriel window supported by stone corbels. The cornice at the ground level extends to a single-storey rendered wall to the east, which returns and terminates to the west.

The west elevation is also rendered and displays a variety of window styles. The windows are predominantly multi-pane casement types. There is a rendered wallhead stack that is capped with a circular can.
