Description

96-102 South Clerk Street is a four-storey tenement block built in 1824 by Thomas Brown. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features an astylar design. It has a continuous façade that connects with West Preston Street. The south elevation has four windows, arranged with a spacing of 1-3, while the corner features a three-window quadrant. The west elevation has six windows, and the first-floor windows are framed with architraves and cornices. There is a cill course at the third floor, along with a cornice and blocking course at the top. The roof is slated. The ground floor includes early Victorian shops at numbers 96 and 98, which are supported by slim columns.
