Description
86, 88, 90, 92, and 94 South Clerk Street in Edinburgh is a four-storey tenement block built in 1824 by Thomas Brown. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and has no decorative style. It features a ten-window frontage with shops on the ground floor. The first floor includes architraves and cornices, while the third floor has a cill course. There is a cornice and blocking course at the top. The shops at 92 and 94 have mid-Victorian console details, and the shop at 88 is decorated in a late Victorian Jacobean style with pilasters. The roof is slated.
