Description
105-109 Lothian Road is a three-storey, nine-bay plain classical terraced block designed by William Burn between 1820 and 1825. The building features coursed ashlar stonework, with the three outer left bays on the first floor painted black. Above the ground floor shops, there is a continuous cornice, and a moulded eaves cornice adds detail to the roofline. The ground floor has modern shop fronts, while the upper floors are regularly fenestrated, with panelled aprons beneath the first-floor windows. The windows are timber sash and case, fitted with plate glass. The building is topped with corniced rendered ridge stacks that have circular cans.
