Public House, 1, 3 East London Street, Edinburgh

111 and 113 Broughton Street is a 19th-century, four-storey, six-bay terraced tenement built in a plain classical style, featuring shops on the ground floor. The building is constructed from sandstone ashlar with margins. It includes a fascia band, a cill band at the first and third floors, projecting and bracketed cills at the second floor, and an eaves cornice.

The principal elevation has seven bays at the ground level. There is a recessed public house entrance in the penultimate bay from the left, with a large window to the left of it. The common stair entrance features a timber panelled door and fanlight located in the third bay. There are paired recessed shop entrances in the penultimate bays from the right, flanked by shop windows, and moulded brackets supporting the shop to the right of centre.

The building has timber sash and case windows with four-pane glazing, a roof covered with grey slates, and ridge stacks topped with terracotta cans. The interior was not seen in 1998.
