Description

This building is a single-storey, three-bay lodge dating from around 1830, designed in a plain classical style. It is constructed from stugged cream sandstone ashlar with polished dressings, featuring base and eaves courses and raised surrounds around the openings.

On the west elevation, there are steps leading up to a central doorway, which has a six-panelled door. There are single windows in the outer left and right bays, fitted with 12-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a piended design, with a coped central ridge stack.

The interior was not seen in 1995.

The property is complemented by a pair of substantial ashlar gatepiers that have chamfered angles and corniced caps, along with boarded timber gates.
