Description

Fettes College, located on Carrington Road in Edinburgh, was designed by David Bryce and built between 1864 and 1870. This building showcases a Franco-Scottish Gothic style and consists of a main block that is three stories tall, with an attic and basement. The symmetrical main front features a central tower with a lead roof, advanced ends, and cloister elements in between. The end elevations are marked by four-story towers topped with tall roofs.

At the rear, there is a two-story wing that includes a flamboyant chapel on the first floor. Additionally, there is a two-story and attic house that features an oriel window. The building is richly detailed throughout.
