7 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh

5 Castle Terrace is a classical terrace building dating from around 1850. It is two storeys high with an attic and basement, featuring a curved design with nine bays. The exterior is finished in cream ashlar, which is droved at the basement level. There are dividing bands between the basement and ground floors, as well as between the ground and first floors. A cill course is present at the first floor, along with an eaves cornice and a blocking course. The doors and windows have lugged architraves, and there are stone steps leading to the basement area, which is covered by platts. The outer right bay and the third bay from the left have timber panelled doors with plate glass fanlights above them. The building has piend-roofed dormers that are hung with slate.

The windows are timber sash and case style, featuring 8-pane glazing, and the roof is covered with grey slates. Corniced stacks with circular cans are also present.

The boundary wall is made of low ashlar and features spear-headed cast-iron railings.
