11 Forth Street, Edinburgh

7 and 9 Forth Street in Edinburgh is a pair of terraced classical houses designed by Robert Burn in 1800, with later alterations. The buildings have a total of nine bays, arranged in groups of three, and are two stories tall, with Nos 9 and 11 raised to include a third ashlar wallhead. The exterior features a cill band at the ground level, a band course between the ground and first floors, projecting cills, an eaves cornice, and entrance platts that oversail the basement. The doorways are pilastered and corniced.

On the principal elevation, there are tripartite entrances with timber panelled doors and segmental arched fanlights located in bays 3, 6, and 9. The doorway to No 11 is divided into two doors and does not have sidelights. The fenestration is regular on the floor above and in the wall-head, with a single piended dormer at the attic of No 7.

The windows are timber sash and case, primarily featuring plate glass glazing. The roofs are covered with grey slates and have ridge stacks with terracotta cans, along with decorative cast-iron railings.

The interior was not seen in 1998 and has undergone subdivision and flatting throughout.
