Description

20 Victoria Street is a building designed by George Smith around 1843. It features a 16-bay terrace consisting of 2- and 3-bay shops. The eastern side is a single storey, while the western side has a single storey with a mezzanine. The terrace is stepped to follow the incline of the street and includes round-arched openings with roll-moulded details. The building is constructed of painted ashlar stone. It has a base course, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course. The openings are framed with roll-moulded surrounds. The pavement and railings of Victoria Terrace, along with the arcade of the Quaker Meeting House, which is listed separately, are located above this terrace.
