Description

W J Walker Todd, 1932. Single storey classical bank on corner site; 4-bay to Newington Road, single bay to East Newington Place with doorway to angled SW corner. Cream sandstone polished ashlar; polished granite base course, cills and doorpiece; fluted frieze with central, plain, circular motif between window openings and panel inscribed with street number above door; cornice; carved lions? heads between window openings to band course above; plain parapet with blank inscription panel above doorway.

W (NEWINGTON ROAD) ELEVATION: 4 recessed, tripartite windows.

S (EAST NEWINGTON PLACE) ELEVATION: central, recessed, tripartite window.

SW (DOORWAY) CORNER: central doorway with 2-leaf panelled door; polished granite architrave with bronze hoodmould.

Steel pivot windows with border glazing. Flat roof.
