Description

Thomas Bonnar, 1824-1830. 3-storey and basement, 6-bay, terrace pair of classical tenements. Sandstone ashlar, channelled rustication at ground. Base course, cill band course, architraved and corniced windows with decorative window guard balconies to 1st floor, cornice and blocking course with eaves band, ashlar steps and entrance platts oversailing basement.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: timber panelled doors with rectangular fanlights (paired circles in glazing) in entrance recesses to centre bays, windows in recesses to bays remaining, regular fenestration above with smaller windows to 2nd floor.

Timber sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing to 2nd floor, 4-pane and plate glass ground and 1st floors. Stacks with terracotta cans, fleur-de-lys headed cast-iron railings.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
