Bunessan Mill, Mull

Bunessan Mill, located on the Isle of Mull, is a water-powered corn mill that likely dates back to the early 19th century. The structure is built from random rubble with roughly squared sandstone lintels and features a gabled design. Currently, it is roofless as of 1991. The mill is two stories tall and has a T-plan layout, with the stem projecting to the northeast into the slope of the ground.

The southwest flank of the building faces the water source and has irregular openings. On the ground floor, there is a door to the left, a window in the center, and a small square opening to the right, which is positioned lower due to the fall of the ground. The upper floor has two windows located close to the eaves, one at the center and another to the right.

The northwest gable is blind, and the masonry that encloses the wheel-pit at the southeast is in a fragmentary condition. There is also a small square loft opening to the right in the southeast gable end. The water-wheel and internal machinery have been removed.
