Cnocbaan, 52 Kirk Street, Campbeltown

Cnocbaan is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house located on Kirk Street in Campbeltown, featuring classical architectural details. The house has smooth cement-rendered and lined walls with droved ashlar dressings, all painted, while the side elevations are roughcast. It includes an eaves course, raised margins around the windows, and projecting cills.

On the northeast elevation facing Kirk Street, there is a pilastered doorpiece with an entablature at the center. The entrance features a grained four-panel door with a six-pane fanlight above and an etched glass inner door. The flanking windows and the regular fenestration on the first floor are also present, although they have modern glazing. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes cast-iron gutters and downpipes, along with roughcast skew copes and coped stacks with circular cans.

The boundary wall along Kirk Street is a roughcast dwarf wall topped with modern railings. At the center, there is a 19th-century iron gate and gatepiers, which are adorned with spear finials.
