Description

Torwoodhill Lodge is a mid-19th century single-storey, four-bay lodge located on Torwoodhill Road in Rhu. The building features white-painted harl with ashlar sandstone margins and dressings, while the modern addition on the outer left is constructed of brick. It has rusticated quoins, projecting eaves, and exposed rafters, along with bracketed cills.

On the southeast elevation, there is a modern gabled bay to the outer left. To the left of the original lodge, there is a depressed arched door, a decorative porch with bargeboards and brackets, a four-panelled door, and a window. To the right, a canted window is set beneath a piended roof, with another window located on the outer right.

The lodge features plate glass sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, and circular, corniced ridge stacks on pedestals topped with octagonal cans.
