Description

The monument at Mount Stuart House dates from the later 18th century. It features a figurative statue that sits atop a column made of tooled sandstone with a cornice. This column is placed on a pedestal made of yellow sandstone ashlar, which is inscribed with the words "Dum memor ipse mei dum spiritus hos regit artus."
