Description
Sorisdale Cottage is a vernacular cottage built in the late 18th or early 19th century, with later additions. It is a single-storey, three-bay structure with a rectangular plan. To the right, there is a lower bay added in the late 19th or early 20th century, and a lean-to extension at the rear from the late 20th century. The cottage is constructed of painted rubble with gently battered walls and has asymmetrically sized, deep-set window openings.
The windows are a mix of timber astragalled types and fixed top-hung casements, while the doors are made of timber boards. The roof is covered with corrugated sheets and features angled skew covers, along with rooflights. There are short rubble stacks with plain clay cans, and a single gutter that feeds a water butt at the rear extension.
