Description

The Rail Bridge in Newbigging, Newtyle, was built around 1868. It is a single-span, round-arched bridge that once served a railway and now crosses a field track. The bridge features curved wing walls and battered abutments, along with a low parapet. It is constructed from bull-faced squared rubble, with rusticated voussoirs and intrados, and has smooth ashlar for the impost and parapet coping.
