Description

Late 18th century. 3-storey, L-plan tenement in irregular terrace, shop at ground, lined render to front, rubble stone to rear, plain margins.

S ELEVATION: pend to right at ground, wrought-iron gate, shopfront to left, polished granite stall riser and frame, plate glass, glass panelled door to left, 1 enlarged window at 1st floor, 2 windows at 2nd.

E ELEVATION: pend to right at ground closed by modern door at end, staircase to upper floors to right, panelled door to left, shopfront to left, door to centre, flanking plate glass windows, 3 bays at 1st and 2nd symmetrical.

N ELEVATION: pend to left at ground, single bay to centre, window at ground boarded, gablehead to right with brick repairs, half gablehead to left in brick, harled dormer in attic storey addition facing W.

Variety of timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, piended to E; brick gablehead stacks to N and S.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS: coped rubble boundary wall to N and W forming garden enclosure, stugged ashlar gateway, wrought-iron gate on E side.
