Description

Ravenswood, located on New Road in Forfar, was built around 1823 and is designed in the style of David Neave. This two-storey building with a basement features a three-window main block and a one-window wing that is set back to the east. The front is made of ashlar stone and has panelled aprons beneath the windows. The ground floor windows are framed with architraves, and there is an Ionic column doorpiece with a curved splay leading to the stair. The capitals of the columns have decayed, the chimneys have been removed, and the grounds have been built up.
