Description
This lodge, built around 1870, features stugged coursers with flush margins and is a single-storey structure with an attic. The south-east elevation includes two bipartite windows and an attic slit window in the right-hand gable. On the north-east elevation, there is a three-light canted bay with an attic slit window above in the left-hand projecting gable, along with a porch that has a blocking course in the re-entrant angle and a bipartite window on the right. The roof is slated and includes skewputts, ball finials on the gables, and tall paired square-shafted stacks. There is also a harled flat-roofed addition to the west. The main gate is flanked by footgates and features serpentine wing walls with octagonal ashlar piers. The property is enhanced by fine original cast-iron gates and railings.
