Description

The aqueduct at Burnside of Duntrune was designed by engineer James Leslie in 1848. It carries an enclosed duct over the Fithie Burn and is constructed from lightly stugged rubble masonry with ashlar dressings and intrados, featuring bull-faced coping stones. The structure includes nine segmental arches and has an embankment to the north supported by rubble walls.
