Description

The Road Bridge at Burnside of Duntrune dates from the mid-18th century and features a single arch that spans the Fithie Burn. It is constructed from random rubble with picked voussoirs and intrados. The bridge has a segmental arch and a rubble-coped parapet, with five modern buttresses on the east side and one on the west.

In addition to the bridge, there are rubble walls extending to the north and south. A rectangular-section ashlar milestone is built into the wall on the west side, topped with a half-piended cap. The inscriptions on the milestone have been partly obscured during the Second World War.
