Description
Old Manse is an early 19th century, single-storey, L-plan cottage that has been extended and altered to form a Z-plan steading with a stable block, dated 1825. The building features rubble masonry, which is partly painted and harled, and has a grey slate roof with boarded doors.
The cottage includes a window at the gable and a bay on the north side, with two doors located at the re-entrant on the south side. There is a brick stack at the north gable.
The extension is a slightly higher range on the south side, featuring a door on the left and two stable doors on the right, one of which is dated 1825 at the lintel. There is also a small boarded aperture, possibly a dovecote, with two flight holes at the left return gable.
Inside, the stable has timber trevises.
