Description
The Control Tower at RM Condor in Arbroath, Angus, dates from around 1940 and is a three-storey, five-bay rectangular building with a flat roof. It has a rendered brick exterior over a reinforced concrete frame. The south elevation features a crash tender garage with a later addition of a roller shutter door. The third storey is recessed and includes an observation balcony with a parapet on three sides. The roof cabin is clad in timber, and there are railings and moorings for an anemometer mast, which has been removed. The building has cast iron rainwater goods and uPVC windows throughout, with irregular fenestration that reflects the internal layout.
Inside, there is a concrete stairway with a cast iron banister and a hardwood handrail.
