Description
Rhynie Parish Church was originally built in 1823. The roof was later raised, and the T-plan aisle was extended by 14 feet. A porch was added, leading to an octagonal tower topped with a slated spire that rises to 87 feet. This work was presented by James Symon of Melbourne in 1889, with R. Duncan from Huntly involved in the construction. The church is made of squared rubble and features four simple Gothic windows arranged in a square. A bell, cast by J.C. Wilson, was also added in 1889.
