Description
Techmuiry House and Offices is a building dated 1600, as indicated by the triangular lintel on the south front. Its current form likely dates from the late 17th century or the earliest 18th century. The structure is two stories tall, built of rubble, harled, and features crowstepped gables. The south front originally had seven windows, but the outer two at each end were replaced by granite bays in the late 19th century. There is a central porch with a gothic arched window added in the mid-19th century. On the north elevation, there is a lunette stone, and a single-storey and attic back wing from the mid-18th century, which includes a window flanked by balusters. A grotesque head is located on the northeast skewput. To the north, there is a parallel single-storey and loft block of offices, which has a forestair at the east gable.
