Description

The sundial at Bourtie Parish Church dates to October 1853 and is inscribed with the name Gavinus Smith LLD AA, although the inscription has weathered over time. The inscription translates to "In honor of the parish of Bourtie which gave birth to him." The sundial features a square marble table dial mounted on a circular granite shaft.
