Description
Tillytoghills consists of a north block dating to the later 18th century and a south block of the early 19th century. The north block is constructed of coursed rubble with stone pinnings and ashlar dressings. It is two storeys high, with a low ground floor and a symmetrical three-window front. The ground floor windows are 12-pane sashes, while those on the first floor have six panes. The doorway has an architraved cavetto splay. Both blocks have a slated roof. The statutory address was changed in 2014, and the building was previously listed as ‘Tillyfoghills Farmhouse’. Ordnance Survey records from 1863 show the building on Kincardine Sheet XXIII.5 at a scale of 25 inches to 1 mile.
